Over one million UK families cannot afford a day at the seaside far less a decent holiday away from home. Yet most people regard an annual holiday as a necessity if not a social right. The Family Holiday Association works to help disadvantaged families get that much-needed break away from home.

All the families we help are referred by welfare agents, have not had a holiday in over four years and live on very low income. Each year we help over 1,200 families from all over the UK with, usually, a one-week break at the UK seaside.

The result of a holiday helps produce happier, stronger families and that is good for the children and parents too, their immediate community and society in general.
